John Foster | Accidental Mysteries

Accidental Mysteries

Accidental Mysteries is an online curiosity shop of extraordinary things, mined from the depths of the online world and brought to you each week by John Foster, a writer, designer and longtime collector of self-taught art and vernacular photography. “I enjoy the search for incredible, obscure objects that challenge, delight and amuse my eye. More so, I enjoy sharing these discoveries with the diverse and informed readers of Design Observer.”

Yes, beautiful! Il also like the geometric theme behind all images.
Thanks.

I love accidental mysteries and JF's curatorial eye. And in case you need my opinion, I approve of the selection today except for the 'Sherlock Holmes storyboard'. That title sequence always struck me as a "miss"—wrong type, wrong fauxtoshopped illustration feel. Too parchment-y and Leonardo DaVinci.

Accidental mysteries is a wonderful little curio of ideas and inspiration. My absolute favourite part of DO. The car boot of design!

All images do NOT point to their original sources. The antlers link to a tumblr noted "JPEG Heaven".

I assume most of these images do.

And though I do like "your" curation of these images, the copyright note is misleading.

Let's not turn "curating" into an endless proliferation of images off of the internet.
